Job Summary:

The Elite Job is seeking a Healthcare Documentation Specialist to join our remote transcription team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing and editing medical reports, patient records, and clinical notes dictated by healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately transcribe audio recordings from physicians and other healthcare providers into electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation systems.

  • Proofread and edit transcribed reports for grammar, clarity, and consistency, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and industry standards.

  • Ensure all transcriptions meet regulatory and confidentiality standards, including HIPAA compliance.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify dictation and resolve discrepancies in reports.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, and evolving industry standards.

  • Organize and manage documentation files for easy retrieval and reference.

  • Meet daily or weekly transcription quotas while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a medical transcriptionist, healthcare documentation specialist, or in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.

  • Excellent listening, typing, and grammar skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transcription and editing.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and voice recognition software.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and data confidentiality standards.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in medical transcription or healthcare documentation.
