Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking compassionate, detail-oriented, and professional Remote Healthcare Call Center Representatives to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for patients and healthcare clients, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with healthcare inquiries, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and general information related to healthcare services. This is a fully remote position available to qualified candidates based in the United States.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls from patients and healthcare providers in a professional and empathetic manner.

  • Assist with appointment scheduling, prescription refills, insurance authorizations, and billing inquiries.

  • Accurately document all call interactions and maintain confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Provide information on healthcare services and support customers in navigating their care journey.

  • Follow call center scripts, workflows, and quality assurance guidelines.

  • Escalate complex issues to supervisors or relevant departments when necessary.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures, and insurance requirements.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (required); Associates or Bachelors degree (preferred).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation and active listening skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

  • Proficiency with computers, CRM tools, and call center software.

  • Typing speed of at least 40 WPM with high accuracy.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and remote team environment.


Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service, healthcare, or call center role (required).

  • Prior experience working in a healthcare or insurance environment (preferred).

  • Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and healthcare terminology is a plus.


Working Hours

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.

  • Flexible scheduling available; shifts may vary between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday.

  • Occasional weekend availability may be required based on business needs.

  • Understanding of basic healthcare systems and insurance processes.

  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
