Progressive Technology is seeking a motivated and reliable Relief Manager for our Self-Storage facilities in Dalton, GA. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations during periods of absence or scheduled time-off for permanent site managers. This position involves overseeing daily operations, customer service, facility maintenance, and administrative tasks to ensure that the self-storage property continues to run efficiently.
The Relief Manager will be responsible for handling the responsibilities of the Site Manager and ensuring that all aspects of the self-storage facility are managed effectively, maintaining high standards of service, security, and customer satisfaction.
Facility Oversight: Ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the self-storage facility in Dalton, GA, including supervising the staff, maintaining the cleanliness of the property, and ensuring the security of the units.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure that all customers have a positive experience.
Sales & Marketing: Promote facility services, upsell additional products and services such as insurance, locks, and packing supplies, and handle rentals of storage units.
Administrative Duties: Manage leasing contracts, maintain accurate records, handle billing and collections, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Facility Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of the property, perform light maintenance tasks, and report any issues that need attention to management.
Staff Coordination: Oversee temporary staff or fill in for absent staff members to ensure that all shifts are covered.
Security Compliance: Ensure that security measures are followed, including monitoring surveillance cameras, managing key control, and enforcing facility access rules.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher preferred.
Experience: At least 1-2 years of management experience in a customer service, retail, or self-storage environment.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to interact with customers, vendors, and team members effectively.
Problem-Solving: Ability to address customer concerns, manage conflict, and resolve issues efficiently.
Organizational Skills: Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize daily operations.
Basic Computer Skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and facility management software.
Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with security protocols and regulations.
Previous Management Experience: At least 1-2 years of management experience, preferably in the self-storage or retail industry.
Customer Service Experience: A strong background in providing exceptional customer service in a professional setting.
Familiarity with Self-Storage Operations: Knowledge of leasing processes, facility maintenance, and security protocols is highly preferred.
This is a full-time, relief-based position, requiring flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
The position will require coverage during the absence of the Site Manager and may include both short-term and long-term relief assignments.
