Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Ground Handling Executive to join our team at Bangalore Airport. As a Ground Handling Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations on the ground by managing all aspects of passenger services, baggage handling, aircraft turnarounds, and other essential ground operations. You will play a key role in ensuring a seamless and efficient travel experience for passengers and a smooth operational flow for the airline.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the ground handling activities at the airport, ensuring the timely and safe turnaround of aircraft.

• Coordinate and oversee all passenger services, including check-in, boarding, and luggage handling.

• Ensure compliance with all airport regulations, safety protocols, and airline procedures.

• Facilitate communication between various departments such as airside operations, customer service, and baggage services.

• Handle the loading and unloading of baggage, cargo, and other aircraft materials.

• Resolve passenger concerns and complaints, providing effective solutions.

• Manage and monitor the operation of ground equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

• Coordinate with airlines, ground staff, and other airport authorities to ensure smooth operations.

• Prepare and submit reports related to operations and incidents, if any.

• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing professional and efficient services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree preferred).

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in ground handling or a similar role in an airport environment.

• Good knowledge of airport operations, safety regulations, and customer service standards.

• Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal); knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and occasional lifting.

• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts.

Experience

• Previous experience working as a Ground Handling Executive or in a similar role within the aviation industry is highly preferred.

• Experience in customer service roles, particularly in the airport or transportation sectors, will be considered an advantage.

• Knowledge of ground operations software and airport handling systems is beneficial.

Working Hours

• Full-time position with rotating shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
