Job Summary:

Progressive Technology is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team in Clatsop County, OR. This position is ideal for passionate professionals looking to make a significant impact on young childrens educational experiences. The Early Childhood Education Specialist will design and implement educational programs for children in their early developmental stages, ensuring that each childs needs are met in an inclusive, nurturing, and effective learning environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering positive relationships with children, families, and staff while adhering to best practices and educational standards in early childhood education.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities for children ages 0-5.

  • Assess childrens developmental progress through observations, assessments, and regular updates.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to create individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with unique learning needs.

  • Provide guidance and professional development to classroom staff on early childhood education practices.

  • Ensure the learning environment is safe, clean, and engaging for all children.

  • Promote social-emotional development and cultivate positive behaviors within the classroom.

  • Maintain documentation of childrens progress, activities, and assessments in accordance with state regulations.

  • Conduct parent conferences to discuss child development and progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.

  • Valid state certification in early childhood education or willingness to obtain certification.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.

  • Knowledge of developmental milestones and best practices in early childhood education.

  • Ability to design and implement curriculum that is both developmentally appropriate and engaging for young children.

  • Proficient in using educational technology and tools to support childrens learning.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.

  • Experience in developing and implementing educational programs for children under five years old.

  • Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

  • Familiarity with the regulatory environment surrounding early childhood education in Oregon.


Working Hours:

  • Full-time position.

  • Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for parent meetings or special events.
