Job Summary:

Ryder Systems, a global leader in logistics and transportation solutions, is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Finance to lead financial operations and strategy remotely from Honolulu, Hawaii. This executive-level position plays a pivotal role in directing the financial planning, forecasting, and performance evaluation activities across multiple business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, proven leadership in managing large teams, and a passion for driving business performance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for business operations.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive strategic business decisions.

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Drive operational efficiency through financial modeling, data analysis, and performance metrics.

• Collaborate with business unit leaders to align financial goals with organizational objectives.

• Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team across multiple regions.

• Manage relationships with external auditors, investors, and key stakeholders.

• Lead cost optimization, risk assessment, and internal control improvement initiatives.

• Champion digital finance transformation and automation initiatives within the finance function.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (Masters or MBA preferred).

• CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred.

• Strong command of GAAP, financial modeling, and business forecasting techniques.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote and collaborative environment.

• Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) and advanced Excel skills.

Experience:

• Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

• Proven track record in managing large, diverse teams and complex financial portfolios.

• Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries is highly desirable.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position.

• Flexibility required to accommodate meetings across different time zones.

• Core hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM HST (Hawaii Standard Time), Monday through Friday.
