Progressive Technology is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our dynamic team in the NGO sector. As an HR Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of human resources activities, ensuring alignment with our mission and values. You will be responsible for supporting the HR department in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance. Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee the recruitment process, from job posting to interviewing, and coordinate effective onboarding for new hires.
Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR queries, resolve conflicts, and foster positive relationships between staff and management.
Performance Management: Assist in managing performance appraisals, provide coaching for managers, and support in employee development planning.
Training and Development: Identify training needs, design and deliver training programs, and ensure continuous professional development for employees.
HR Policies and Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies, updating them as necessary to reflect best practices in the nonprofit sector.
HR Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, prepare HR reports, and support management with strategic HR metrics.
Employee Benefits Administration: Manage benefits programs, including healthcare, pension schemes, and other employee perks.
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience as an HR Officer, HR Coordinator, or similar role, preferably in the NGO or nonprofit sector.
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training.
Experience working in the nonprofit sector or an NGO is highly desirable.
Proven track record in managing HR processes from start to finish.
This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week. Flexible working hours may be available depending on the needs of the organization.
