Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Support Technician to join our team at The Elite Job. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our companys IT systems, offering technical assistance to staff, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining the companys hardware and software infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, a strong problem-solver, and capable of providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to employees by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Install, configure, and maintain company hardware, software, and networks, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date and secure.

  • Respond to and resolve IT support requests in a timely manner, using helpdesk ticketing systems.

  • Assist with the setup and configuration of new workstations, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.

  • Perform routine system checks and software updates to ensure optimal performance of systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, including VPN, LAN, and internet problems.

  • Support employees in the use of office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and assist with specialized software applications.

  • Manage IT inventory, including ordering and tracking hardware and software assets.

  • Provide end-user training and documentation on IT-related processes and tools.

  • Work with third-party vendors and service providers for hardware repairs, software issues, and troubleshooting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in an IT support role, with a solid understanding of IT systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and Mac OS, as well as familiarity with mobile device support.

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and system administration.

  • Experience with cloud-based systems and tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).

  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.

  • Hands-on experience with hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance.

  • Experience with IT ticketing systems and service management.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position with standard office hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM).

  • Occasional after-hours support may be required based on system updates or emergency issues.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.

  • Proficiency in common IT support tools and ticketing systems.

  • Knowledge of IT security standards and practices.

  • Ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with complex or high-pressure situations.
