Job Summary

The Elite Job is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proficient Malay to English Translator to join our growing remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately translating a wide variety of documents, ensuring that the meaning and tone of the original content are preserved while making the English translation fluent, culturally relevant, and grammatically correct. This role is ideal for someone who is fluent in both Malay and English and has a deep understanding of cultural nuances and localization.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate written content from Malay to English across various industries such as business, marketing, technology, healthcare, and more.

• Maintain the original intent, tone, style, and context of the content while ensuring clear and fluent English usage.

• Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readability.

• Work with other team members to ensure quality control and consistency across all translated content.

• Handle multiple translation assignments simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.

• Keep updated with language and cultural trends that may influence translation standards.

• Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information and data.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in both Malay and English.

• Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation in English.

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Strong reading comprehension and writing skills.

• Familiarity with translation tools (CAT tools is a plus but not required).

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of proven experience in Malay to English translation (freelance or professional).

• Experience in translating content for business, education, or marketing purposes is highly preferred.

• Freshers with excellent language skills and relevant samples are also encouraged to apply.
