Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Officer with a strong background in microfinance banking to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and learning & development. This role plays a key part in aligning our people strategy with business goals, specifically tailored for the fast-paced microfinance sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for microfinance positions including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

  • Manage HR operations including employee records, payroll support, and benefits administration.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements relevant to microfinance banking.

  • Implement and monitor performance management systems tailored to microfinance KPIs.

  • Develop and roll out training programs to enhance employee capability in banking and customer service.

  • Act as a liaison between management and staff, handling grievances and resolving workplace conflicts.

  • Support change management initiatives in line with industry and organizational growth.

  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in alignment with microfinance standards.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.

  • Professional certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent) is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices specific to the financial or microfinance sector.

  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in HR software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.


Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a microfinance bank or financial institution.

  • Proven track record of handling HR duties within a regulated financial environment.


Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Occasionally may require extended hours or weekend availability depending on project or audit deadlines.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of HR regulatory compliance in the banking/microfinance industry.

  • Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals.

  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
