Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a passionate and skilled Online Math Tutor to provide high-quality instruction to students in classes 6 through 10. This is a remote work-from-home opportunity based in Bangalore, aimed at nurturing students understanding of mathematics through interactive, engaging, and customized online lessons. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving students academic performance and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver live, interactive math lessons to students in classes 6-10 via online platforms.

• Develop and customize lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students.

• Assess students progress through regular tests, quizzes, and assignments.

• Provide constructive feedback and additional support to help students overcome learning difficulties.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, and student performance.

• Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate students progress and areas of improvement.

• Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies, curriculum changes, and digital tools for online education.

• Create a supportive, motivating, and engaging virtual classroom environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field.

• Strong command of math concepts relevant to classes 6-10 syllabus (CBSE/ICSE/State Boards).

• Prior experience in online or offline tutoring is highly desirable.

• Proficient in using online teaching tools and platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to simplify complex math concepts for easy understanding.

• Patience, empathy, and a student-focused approach to teaching.

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years of tutoring or teaching experience, preferably in a similar online role.

• Experience working with middle and high school students is preferred.

• Familiarity with various math curricula and exam patterns is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Flexible working hours with the possibility to schedule sessions based on student availability.

• Part-time or full-time positions available depending on candidate preference.

• Ability to work evenings or weekends to accommodate student schedules is a plus.
