Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Online Spoken English Trainer to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and helping individuals enhance their English speaking skills through interactive and engaging online sessions. You will be responsible for conducting virtual training sessions, designing learning plans, and tracking learner progress to ensure effective communication skills development. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct live, interactive spoken English training sessions online for diverse learner groups including students, professionals, and job seekers.

• Develop and customize lesson plans, exercises, and activities tailored to the individual needs and proficiency levels of learners.

• Assess learners English speaking, listening, pronunciation, and grammar skills regularly and provide constructive feedback.

• Motivate and engage learners to improve their confidence and fluency in spoken English.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and feedback for continuous improvement.

• Use digital tools and platforms effectively to enhance learning experiences.

• Collaborate with the training team to update course materials and teaching methods according to learner feedback and industry trends.

• Address learner queries and provide support to ensure a positive learning environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.

• Certification in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA) is highly preferred.

• Excellent command of spoken and written English with clear pronunciation and communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners remotely.

• Familiarity with online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.) and digital teaching tools.

• Ability to design learner-centric lesson plans and adapt teaching styles accordingly.

• Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching and learner development.

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in teaching spoken English or communication skills training, preferably in an online environment.

• Experience working with diverse learner groups across different age ranges and professional backgrounds is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Part-time position with flexible working hours.

• Trainers are expected to conduct sessions during agreed-upon schedules, which may include evenings or weekends to accommodate learner availability.

• Average commitment of 10-20 hours per week.
