Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a detail-oriented Freelance Accountant to support our clients with GST filing, bookkeeping, and basic financial documentation on a remote basis. This role is ideal for experienced professionals who prefer flexibility and autonomy in their work environment. You will work with multiple clients across different sectors, providing essential accounting services including invoice tracking, bank reconciliation, and compliance management related to Indian GST laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end GST filing, including monthly/quarterly returns for multiple clients

• Maintain accurate books of accounts using accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks)

• Perform bank and account reconciliations on a regular basis

• Prepare and maintain invoices, receipts, expense reports, and ledgers

• Monitor and ensure tax compliance and regulatory deadlines are met

• Assist clients in preparing basic financial statements and reports

• Address queries related to taxation, accounting entries, and documentation

• Communicate professionally with clients and provide regular financial updates

• Ensure confidentiality and data security of client records

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce

• Strong knowledge of Indian GST regulations and returns filing procedures

• Proficient in accounting software like Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Excel

• Ability to manage multiple freelance assignments with minimal supervision

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written

• Familiarity with cloud-based documentation and remote collaboration tools

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping and GST-related work

• Prior experience working as a freelance accountant or consultant will be an advantage

• Experience handling clients from diverse industries is preferred
