Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Back-End Developer with expertise in Node.js and PHP to join our dynamic remote development team. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain robust back-end services and APIs using Node.js and PHP.

• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues promptly in development, staging, and production environments.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

• Design and implement database schemas, queries, and optimizations for efficient data handling.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and suggest improvements to existing systems.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in back-end development using Node.js and PHP.

• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development.

• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

• Understanding of server-side templating languages and MVC frameworks.

• Solid grasp of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.

• Knowledge of cloud services and deployment tools (AWS, Azure, Docker, etc.) is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to write clear technical documentation.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in back-end development.

• Prior experience working on remote or distributed teams preferred.

• Demonstrated track record of delivering production-grade software.

Working Hours

• Full-time remote position with flexible working hours.

• Ability to overlap partially with core team hours for collaboration is preferred (e.g., 10 AM - 4 PM GMT).

• Occasional meetings and deadlines may require some fixed scheduling.

• Deep understanding of web application architecture and security best practices.

• Proficiency in writing optimized SQL queries and working with NoSQL databases.

• Strong debugging and performance tuning capabilities.
