Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a motivated and experienced IELTS/TOEFL Preparation Tutor to join our dynamic remote teaching team. As a Preparador para IELTS/TOEFL, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their desired scores by providing tailored coaching and strategies that improve their English language proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. This role is ideal for educators passionate about language training and committed to delivering high-quality virtual instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver personalized lesson plans focused on IELTS and TOEFL exam preparation.

• Conduct engaging, interactive remote classes that enhance students English skills across all test sections.

• Evaluate students strengths and weaknesses through assessments and provide constructive feedback.

• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to maximize exam performance.

• Stay updated on IELTS and TOEFL exam formats, scoring criteria, and best practices.

• Provide exam-taking tips, strategies, and time management techniques tailored to individual needs.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and student performance.

• Communicate professionally with students and parents regarding course progress and areas for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in teaching IELTS and/or TOEFL preparation courses, preferably in a remote setting.

• Strong command of English language and in-depth knowledge of IELTS and TOEFL exam formats and content.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.

• Proficient in virtual teaching platforms and digital tools for online education.

• Ability to design customized lesson plans and provide targeted feedback.

• Patient, adaptable, and culturally sensitive approach to working with diverse learners.

• Bachelors degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field preferred.

• Relevant teaching certification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA) is a plus.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching IELTS/TOEFL preparation or equivalent English language instruction.

• Demonstrated success in helping students achieve measurable improvements in their exam scores.

• Experience working in remote or online teaching environments is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Flexible remote work schedule with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.

• Availability during peak student hours (evenings and weekends) preferred to accommodate various time zones.

• Occasional participation in training sessions and team meetings as scheduled.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and exam strategies.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple students and schedules effectively.

• Proficient in the use of educational technology, including video conferencing tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and learning management systems (LMS).

• Ability to provide clear explanations and simplify complex concepts for diverse learners.

• Strong analytical skills to assess student performance and tailor instruction accordingly.
