Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Online Tutors to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in core school subjects (Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, etc.) or Spoken English to students across various academic levels. As an Online Tutor, you will leverage interactive teaching techniques to help students improve academic performance or fluency in English, all from the convenience of your home.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one or group virtual classes using video conferencing tools.

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.

• Assist students in improving understanding and academic performance in selected subjects or spoken English.

• Provide regular feedback to students and/or parents about performance, improvement areas, and learning goals.

• Use digital tools, worksheets, and online assessments to create an interactive learning experience.

• Maintain records of each students progress, attendance, and performance.

• Foster a motivating, supportive, and respectful virtual learning environment.

• Attend occasional training sessions or team meetings to stay updated on best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong command over chosen subject(s) or excellent fluency in English.

• Bachelors degree (preferred but not mandatory if candidate has teaching aptitude or certifications).

• Clear and confident verbal communication.

• Comfortable using online platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams.

• Basic knowledge of using digital whiteboards, online worksheets, and other EdTech tools.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Experience

• Prior tutoring or teaching experience (preferred, but freshers with subject expertise and good communication are welcome).

• Experience working with school-age children or young adults is a plus.

• Familiarity with online teaching tools is an added advantage.

Working Hours

• Flexible shifts available: Morning, Afternoon, Evening, or Weekend batches.

• Minimum 2 hours/day commitment preferred.

• You can choose to work part-time or full-time based on your availability.

• Subject matter expertise (Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, English, etc.).
