Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and linguistically skilled Freelance English to Hindi Translator to join our growing network of remote professionals. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a strong command of both English and Hindi, have an eye for accuracy, and are passionate about language localization and cultural nuance. As a translator, you will be responsible for converting various types of English content—ranging from documents and articles to digital assets—into high-quality Hindi that retains the intended meaning and tone.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate written content from English to Hindi while maintaining the original meaning, style, and tone.

• Review and edit translated content to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Collaborate with content creators, editors, and project managers to meet project timelines.

• Adapt translations for culturally appropriate expressions and idioms.

• Handle confidential information responsibly and maintain client privacy.

• Conduct research on industry-specific terminology and use translation tools if required.

• Provide feedback to improve language quality and contribute to ongoing quality control initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in both written English and Hindi with exceptional grammar and vocabulary.

• Proven ability to translate and localize content without losing meaning.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.

• Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.

• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with remote teams.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Google Docs, and basic familiarity with translation tools (CAT tools is a plus).

Experience

• Prior experience in translation, proofreading, or localization preferred.
