Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Document Translation Expert to translate legal documents from Hindi to English with precision and clarity. This is a remote opportunity, ideal for candidates with a strong legal vocabulary and an excellent command of both Hindi and English languages. The role requires a deep understanding of legal terminology, confidentiality protocols, and a commitment to quality and accuracy in translation.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate a wide range of legal documents (contracts, affidavits, court filings, agreements, etc.) from Hindi to English while maintaining the integrity of the original meaning and format.

• Ensure accurate usage of legal terminology, syntax, and grammar.

• Review, proofread, and edit translations for completeness and compliance with legal standards.

• Collaborate with legal teams or clients to clarify ambiguous terms or legal context.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and data protection in all document handling.

• Meet translation deadlines and manage multiple projects efficiently.

• Keep abreast of changes in legal terminology and regional language variations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in both Hindi and English, with superior written fluency in English.

• Strong understanding of Indian legal terminology, systems, and documentation formats.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in translation.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

• Proficient in using document editing and translation software (MS Word, Google Docs, CAT tools preferred).

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in translating legal documents from Hindi to English.
