Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is seeking a detail-oriented and linguistically skilled Online Audio Description Writer to contribute to accessibility projects for a variety of multimedia content. In this role, you will be responsible for writing clear, concise, and meaningful audio descriptions for films, television shows, educational videos, corporate training, and digital platforms. Your work will enable visually impaired individuals to engage fully with visual content by creating vivid, informative descriptions of visual elements.

Key Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, objective, and vivid audio descriptions for visual media including movies, educational videos, marketing materials, and e-learning platforms.

• Collaborate with accessibility experts, producers, and editors to ensure descriptions are accurate and effective.

• Review scripts and media content to identify visual elements that require description.

• Maintain consistent tone, style, and clarity in writing to ensure audience comprehension.

• Adhere to project timelines and formatting guidelines specific to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA).

• Revise and edit audio description scripts based on feedback from internal quality control teams or clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, and clarity of expression.

• Strong creative writing and descriptive skills with the ability to visualize and communicate visual information.

• Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and inclusive communication practices.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with strict deadlines.

• Strong research and analytical abilities to interpret visual scenes accurately.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in audio description writing, scriptwriting, content writing, or related fields preferred.

• Experience working on accessibility or inclusion-related projects is a plus.

• Familiarity with screenwriting or subtitling tools is advantageous.

Working Hours
