Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a passionate and organized Online Volunteer Coordinator to manage and grow our virtual volunteer network. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, coordinating, and supporting volunteers involved in a variety of community and outreach initiatives. You will play a vital role in ensuring that volunteers have a meaningful and impactful experience while helping our organization meet its social responsibility goals.
Develop and implement online volunteer recruitment strategies.
Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training for new volunteers.
Assign volunteers to appropriate roles based on their skills and interests.
Maintain accurate volunteer records and documentation using tracking software or spreadsheets.
Monitor volunteer performance and provide guidance, motivation, and feedback.
Plan and execute virtual volunteer events and engagement activities.
Collaborate with internal departments to identify volunteer needs and opportunities.
Address volunteer inquiries and resolve any conflicts or concerns promptly.
Recognize volunteer contributions through newsletters, digital certificates, or online appreciation events.
Prepare monthly reports on volunteer engagement metrics.
Bachelors degree in Social Work, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
Proficiency with digital collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Zoom, Trello, etc.).
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in volunteer engagement.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in volunteer coordination, community outreach, human resources, or project management.
Prior experience working with NGOs, educational institutes, or community-based organizations is an added advantage.
Freshers with strong organizational and communication skills may also be considered.
Part-Time and Flexible
Work 15–20 hours per week with flexible timing. Occasional weekend or evening availability may be required during special events or campaigns.
Understanding of volunteer management best practices.
Ability to work independently in a virtual environment with minimal supervision.
Strong sense of empathy and a passion for community service.
Familiarity with CRM or volunteer management platforms (preferred but not required).
