Job Summary

SysTechCare Support is looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Junior Medical Coder to join our dynamic healthcare documentation team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with basic medical coding training who are passionate about accuracy, compliance, and healthcare documentation. You will assist in transforming healthcare diagnoses, procedures, and services into universal medical alphanumeric codes using ICD, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses, treatments, and procedures based on documentation provided by healthcare professionals.

• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and insurance requirements by following established coding guidelines.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and organizational privacy policies.

• Collaborate with physicians and billing teams to clarify diagnoses and obtain additional patient information if needed.

• Review and audit coding for accuracy and completeness on a routine basis.

• Assist in resolving coding-related billing issues.

• Stay updated with current coding regulations, procedures, and changes in industry practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Medical Coding from a recognized institution (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCA is a plus).

• Basic knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.

• Proficient in using medical billing software and EHR systems.

• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.

• Good communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare professionals.

• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote setting.

Experience

• 0–1 year of experience in medical coding (Freshers with internship or training in medical coding are welcome to apply).

Working Hours

• Full-time position: Monday to Friday

• Flexible shift options available (Day shift/Rotational depending on team requirements)

• Remote work with performance-based assessments

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
