Job Summary

SysTechCare Support is looking for a friendly, organized, and service-oriented Hostel Reception Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day operations of our hostel. You will be the first point of contact for guests, handling check-ins, inquiries, and administrative support. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a people-centered environment, has a passion for hospitality, and possesses a proactive and welcoming attitude.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests at check-in and check-out with professionalism and efficiency

  • Maintain accurate booking records and update room availability

  • Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with excellent communication skills

  • Manage guest complaints, concerns, and special requests in a polite and timely manner

  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness

  • Monitor guest safety and report any unusual activity or security concerns

  • Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions

  • Keep the reception area clean, welcoming, and organized

  • Assist in inventory checks and ordering supplies as needed

  • Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and preparing reports


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or administrative training is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Good computer skills (MS Office, booking software, email)

  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure

  • Friendly demeanor with a genuine passion for guest services

  • Basic knowledge of cash handling and record-keeping

  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently or in a team


Experience

  • Prior experience in customer service, reception, or hospitality is preferred

  • Freshers with excellent communication skills and willingness to learn will also be considered


Working Hours

  • Flexible shifts available (morning, evening, night)

  • Weekend and holiday availability may be required

  • Both part-time and full-time options are available


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with hostel or hotel booking systems is a plus

  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Patience, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with guests

  • Awareness of health and safety standards in hospitality
