The American Red Cross is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team. Provide administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling interviews, processing new hire paperwork, and maintaining digital and physical personnel files.
Assist in the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening resumes, and coordinating interview logistics.
Support onboarding and orientation sessions for new hires.
Maintain and update HR databases such as employee records, benefits, and payroll systems.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
Assist in planning and organizing employee engagement events and trainings.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or currently pursuing final year of study).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude.
0–2 years of experience in an administrative or human resources role.
Internship or volunteer work in HR or office administration is a plus.
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Local Time).
Flexible work arrangements or hybrid schedules may be available depending on the location and department needs.
Familiarity with HR software and systems such as Workday, SAP, or ADP is an advantage.
Knowledge of basic employment laws and HR best practices.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new processes and tools.
