Job Summary:

Flipkart is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Analyst to join our dynamic supply chain and procurement team. This role is pivotal in optimizing vendor management processes, ensuring inventory availability, streamlining procurement workflows, and supporting data-driven decision-making. As a Procurement Analyst, you will act as a bridge between internal stakeholders and external vendors, playing a critical role in inventory planning and cost-effective procurement across multiple categories.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with category managers and vendors to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure timely order placements.

• Analyze procurement and inventory data to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve supplier performance, and reduce stockouts.

• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, inventory levels, vendor contracts, and pricing terms.

• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues related to order discrepancies, delays, or quality concerns.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, order cycle time, vendor lead times, and cost variances.

• Support sourcing strategies and vendor negotiations based on data insights and market trends.

• Coordinate with internal departments such as logistics, finance, and warehousing to ensure smooth procurement execution.

• Assist in developing procurement reports, dashboards, and predictive models using Excel, SQL, or BI tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor coordination and cross-functional collaboration.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, inventory planning, or a similar supply chain function.

• Experience in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or tech-based logistics is a strong advantage.

• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and procurement platforms is preferred.

Working Hours:

• Full-Time | 5 Days a Week (Monday to Friday)

• Flexible shift timings, with availability required during key vendor coordination hours (typically between 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST)

• Remote/hybrid options available based on business requirements and location.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of procurement lifecycle, vendor sourcing, and contract management.

• Strong data analysis and forecasting abilities using tools like Excel, Power BI, or SQL.

• Ability to negotiate and build lasting vendor relationships.

• Sound understanding of inventory planning techniques, economic order quantity (EOQ), and lead time optimization.

• Knowledge of compliance standards, ethical sourcing, and cost control practices.
