IndiGo Airline is seeking dynamic, customer-focused individuals to join our Airport Operations and Customer Services (AO&CS) team as Ground Staff – Check-in & Boarding Desk Support. This role is critical in delivering seamless passenger services, including efficient check-in, accurate boarding assistance, and timely customer handling at the airport. You will be the face of IndiGo at our counters, ensuring every passenger enjoys a smooth, safe, and courteous experience.
Welcome passengers and assist them with check-in processes, verifying travel documents and issuing boarding passes.
Manage baggage tagging and ensure compliance with weight and security regulations.
Guide and escort passengers through security checks, boarding gates, and final boarding procedures.
Provide clear information to passengers on flight schedules, delays, and boarding times.
Coordinate with other ground and flight operations teams to ensure timely aircraft turnaround.
Resolve customer queries and complaints at the terminal with professionalism and empathy.
Follow all airport safety, security, and service protocols as per DGCA and airline standards.
Monitor and update passenger records in the airport management systems.
Support special assistance requirements for unaccompanied minors, elderly travelers, and passengers with reduced mobility.
Maintain professional appearance, grooming standards, and adherence to company uniform policy.
Minimum 10+2 (Higher Secondary) pass from a recognized board (Graduation preferred).
Proficient in English and Hindi; additional regional language is a plus.
Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Basic computer proficiency for data entry and passenger system use.
Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure airport environments.
Strong team player with a professional demeanor.
0 to 2 years of relevant experience in customer service, preferably in aviation, hospitality, or travel industries.
Freshers with strong communication and customer service potential are welcome to apply.
Prior experience in check-in, ticketing, or airport handling operations is an advantage.
Rotational shift-based schedule, including weekends, public holidays, and night shifts.
Shift duration typically ranges between 8 to 9 hours, subject to flight schedules.
Must be flexible and available for early morning or late evening shifts depending on operational requirements.
Familiarity with airport check-in systems, boarding procedures, and aviation regulations (training will be provided).
Strong problem-solving skills to handle passenger concerns tactfully and efficiently.
