Houston Skilled Consultancy is launching a women-focused, work-from-home initiative to help women (including homemakers, fresh graduates, and professionals returning to work) build sustainable careers in e-commerce and fashion operations. As an Online Fashion Catalog Assistant, you will be responsible for creating, enriching, and maintaining high-quality product listings across online marketplaces and brand websites. You will combine your eye for fashion with strong data accuracy to ensure every product is discoverable, well-presented, and aligned with brand guidelines.
Product Listing & Catalog Management: Create, edit, and publish product listings (titles, descriptions, attributes, pricing, size charts, care instructions) on e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart).
Image Coordination: Coordinate with designers/photographers to upload, rename, tag, and compress product images; ensure all visuals meet platform and brand standards.
Content Optimization: Apply basic SEO principles (keywords, meta tags, alt text) to improve searchability and conversion.
Data Quality & Hygiene: Validate SKU data, categories, variants (color/size), stock levels, and pricing to prevent errors and returns.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with merchandising, marketing, operations, and customer support teams to keep catalog information accurate and up to date.
Reporting & Tracking: Maintain trackers and dashboards (Google Sheets/Excel) to monitor listing status, correction logs, and performance KPIs.
Compliance & Consistency: Follow brand style guides, taxonomy rules, and platform-specific policies to maintain a consistent customer experience.
Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve listing errors, duplicate content, and compliance warnings on marketplaces.
Process Improvement: Suggest automation, templates, and SOP enhancements to scale catalog operations efficiently.
Bachelors degree in Fashion, Commerce, Arts, Marketing, Mass Communication, or any related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Excellent written English with strong grammar, clarity, and attention to detail.
Proficiency with MS Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data cleaning).
Comfort working with Content Management Systems (CMS) and e-commerce backends.
Basic understanding of SEO for product pages (keywords, tags, metadata).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle large volumes of data accurately.
Ability to learn fast, follow SOPs, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Reliable internet connection and a personal laptop/desktop.
0–3 years of experience in e-commerce catalog management, content writing, data entry, merchandising, or fashion operations.

Options for part-time (4–5 hrs/day) or full-time (8 hrs/day).
Weekend or evening availability may be required during peak launches/sales (compensatory offs provided).

Detail orientation: Zero tolerance for listing inaccuracies and formatting errors.
Process discipline: Ability to follow and improve SOPs, templates, and QC checklists.
