Job Summary

Flipkart is seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Accounting Specialist – Global Accounting to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, reconciling complex accounts, and supporting global accounting processes in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring analytical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and geographies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and account analyses for accuracy and compliance.

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Assist with global accounting operations, including intercompany transactions and foreign currency reconciliations.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to provide financial information and resolve discrepancies.

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.

• Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for business stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications (CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and financial regulations.

• Proficient in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Tally) and MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with global teams.

• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Experience

• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in global or multinational companies.

• Exposure to financial reporting, account reconciliation, and intercompany transactions.

• Experience in handling audits and compliance activities is a plus.

Working Hours

• Standard business hours with flexibility to coordinate across global teams and time zones.
