Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled Information Security Analyst and SOC Monitor to join our remote cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents across enterprise systems and networks. You will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational information assets by using cutting-edge tools, threat intelligence, and advanced monitoring techniques. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic, system logs, and security alerts in real-time within the Security Operations Center (SOC).

  • Detect, respond to, and investigate potential cybersecurity incidents and breaches.

  • Perform incident triage, classification, and escalation to senior analysts as required.

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in risk mitigation strategies.

  • Use SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools to identify anomalous activity and emerging threats.

  • Document all incidents, actions taken, and root cause analyses in a detailed and timely manner.

  • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to improve detection rules, response playbooks, and incident handling processes.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and international cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).

  • Participate in proactive threat hunting to identify and neutralize potential vulnerabilities.

  • Provide recommendations for security system upgrades, configuration improvements, and preventive measures.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security.

  • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, IBM QRadar, ArcSight, or Microsoft Sentinel.

  • Proficiency in monitoring tools and log analysis using technologies like Wireshark, Syslog, or ELK Stack.

  • Working knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to interpret and respond to complex security incidents effectively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare incident reports and collaborate across teams.

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CISSP, or GIAC are highly desirable.


Experience

  • Minimum 2–5 years of professional experience in information security, network monitoring, or SOC operations.

  • Prior experience working in remote or global security teams is an advantage.


Working Hours

  • Full-time, remote position with flexible scheduling options.

  • Rotational shifts may apply for 24x7 SOC coverage.

  • Candidates should be prepared for occasional weekend or after-hours monitoring during high-priority incidents.
