Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Virtual Medication Adherence Coordinator to join our growing healthcare support team. In this remote role, you will play a vital part in helping patients stay on track with their prescribed medications through follow-up calls, virtual check-ins, and proactive coordination with healthcare providers and pharmacies. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual or phone-based outreach to patients to ensure they understand and adhere to prescribed medication schedules.

  • Provide education on medication usage, potential side effects, and importance of adherence.

  • Monitor patient progress, record updates in electronic health systems, and report non-compliance issues to supervising pharmacists or clinicians.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance representatives, and pharmacies to resolve medication-related concerns.

  • Manage confidential patient data in accordance with HIPAA and company compliance standards.

  • Follow up with patients for refills, dosage changes, or therapy adjustments as directed by providers.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of all communications and actions taken.

  • Support the coordination of medication delivery logistics when required.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree in healthcare, pharmacy, or related field preferred).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient engagement.

  • Proficiency with computer systems, electronic medical records (EMR), and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Customer service experience in a healthcare, pharmacy, or telehealth setting is highly desirable.


Experience

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a pharmacy, healthcare coordination, call center, or patient support role.

  • Prior experience with medication adherence programs or pharmacy benefit management is an advantage.


Working Hours

  • Flexible remote work schedule.

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

  • Occasional weekend or evening shifts may be required based on patient needs.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of common medications, dosage forms, and pharmacy terminology.

  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance and data privacy regulations (HIPAA).
