Position: Certified Pharmacy Technician – Disease Management
Location: Remote (Work From Home – Occasional Travel Required)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM EST
Salary Range: $43,000 – $56,200 per year
Humana is seeking a Remote Certified Pharmacy Technician to join the Disease Management team and deliver exceptional support to specialty pharmacy patients. In this role, you will ensure accurate medication documentation, assist new members, and support patient access to life-improving specialty therapies. You will work independently while using sound judgment, strong communication skills, and exceptional customer service to support both patients and clinical team members.
This role is ideal for pharmacy technicians who are detail-oriented, compassionate, and passionate about improving patient outcomes through accurate data entry and dedicated service.
Enter and update patient data into the ScriptMed system, including insurance details, medication information, allergies, and clinical notes
Provide a positive onboarding experience for new patients joining specialty pharmacy services
Collaborate with pharmacy team members to meet operational goals and performance standards
Support timely, accurate dispensing and delivery of medications to patients
Assist patients with financial assistance programs when needed
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements
Perform related administrative and support tasks as assigned
High school diploma or GED
Active national certification: PTCB (CPhT) or ExCPT
Active Ohio Board of Pharmacy registration/license
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High-speed home internet: at least 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload
A secure workspace free from ongoing interruptions
Ability to maintain HIPAA and patient privacy standards while working remotely
Previous specialty pharmacy experience
Bilingual (any language)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
