In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate billing, claims processing, and reimbursement for specialty pharmacy services. You will serve as a key liaison between patients, insurance providers, and internal teams, ensuring claims are handled efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Process and submit medical and pharmacy claims accurately and in a timely manner
Review billing data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with payer requirements
Investigate, analyze, and resolve denied or rejected claims, including initiating appeals when necessary
Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, and internal departments to resolve billing and claims issues
Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and prior authorization requirements
Maintain detailed documentation of claim activities in internal systems
Ensure adherence to HIPAA, CMS, and other regulatory guidelines
Meet productivity, quality, and compliance benchmarks established by Accredo and Cigna
Provide excellent customer service while handling sensitive financial and health-related information
Strong understanding of medical and/or pharmacy billing and claims processes
Proficiency in navigating claims management and electronic health record (EHR) systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
Comfort working independently in a remote environment
Strong customer service mindset with a professional and empathetic approach
Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in medical billing, insurance claims processing, or healthcare revenue cycle operations
Experience in specialty pharmacy, healthcare payer systems, or managed care is strongly preferred
Prior remote work experience is an advantage but not required
Full-time position (40 hours per week)
Standard business hours, typically Monday to Friday
Occasional flexibility may be required to meet business needs
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and payer guidelines
Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding concepts (preferred)
Ability to interpret insurance policies and explanation of benefits (EOBs)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Technological aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional remote teams
