Job Summary

Cigna, through its Freedom Fertility division, is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Remote Pharmacy Technician Associate Representative to support patients, providers, and internal pharmacy operations. This fully remote role plays a vital part in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of fertility pharmacy services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy operations, excellent communication skills, and a patient-first mindset, contributing to exceptional service delivery in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in processing and preparing fertility medication orders in accordance with state and federal regulations

• Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients, providers, and insurance partners professionally and empathetically

• Enter, review, and maintain accurate patient, prescription, and insurance information in pharmacy systems

• Support benefits verification, prior authorization processes, and coordination of shipments

• Resolve routine inquiries related to prescriptions, order status, refills, and coverage

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and Cigna policies and procedures

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction

• Maintain detailed documentation and follow quality and accuracy standards consistently

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) preferred or willingness to obtain as required

• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills

• Proficiency in using pharmacy systems, electronic health records, and MS Office applications

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote, fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving skills with a patient-focused approach

Experience

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or call center environment preferred

• Experience with specialty pharmacy or fertility pharmacy operations is an advantage

• Prior remote or virtual work experience is a plus

Working Hours

• Full-time, remote position

• Standard business hours with possible rotating shifts based on business needs

• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, prescription processing, and medication handling

• Understanding of insurance plans, benefits verification, and prior authorization processes

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with regulatory requirements
