The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to underwriting, actuarial, and business leadership teams by delivering data-driven insights, developing predictive models, and translating complex analytics into actionable strategies. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of advanced data science models to support pricing, underwriting, and risk assessment initiatives.

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities related to cost, utilization, and risk segmentation.

  • Partner closely with underwriting, actuarial, finance, and product teams to inform pricing strategies and improve underwriting accuracy.

  • Design, validate, and maintain predictive and prescriptive models, including regression, machine learning, and optimization techniques.

  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Support strategic initiatives such as new product pricing, portfolio optimization, and profitability improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in data science, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.

  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).

  • Solid understanding of pricing, underwriting, or actuarial concepts within healthcare or insurance environments.

Experience
