Job Summary

Walgreens is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist to join our Centralized Services team in a remote capacity based in New York. Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Provide clinical guidance to pharmacy technicians and healthcare team members on medication therapies, interactions, and patient counseling.

• Conduct telephonic and electronic consultations with patients to ensure proper understanding of prescribed medications, dosage, and administration.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription-related issues, clarify orders, and optimize patient outcomes.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all pharmacy-related activities in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical programs, and operational audits to enhance service efficiency and patient safety.

• Stay current with the latest developments in pharmacology, clinical guidelines, and pharmacy best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in New York.

• Strong knowledge of prescription medications, pharmacology, and clinical therapeutics.

• Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records (EHR).

• Excellent communication skills for patient counseling, provider interactions, and team collaboration.

• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking to ensure patient safety and medication accuracy.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability and productivity.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in retail, centralized services, or clinical pharmacy.

• Experience with telepharmacy or virtual patient consultations is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Full-time remote schedule, with flexible hours to support centralized operations.
