Process pharmacy claims accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
Review and verify prescription claim information, identifying errors, inconsistencies, or missing data.
Resolve claim rejections and discrepancies through coordination with pharmacies, insurance providers, and internal teams.
Document and maintain accurate records of claim processing activities and communication.
Support customer inquiries regarding claims, providing clear and professional responses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and enhance workflow efficiency.
Stay updated on industry regulations, insurance policies, and Walgreens operational procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelors degree in healthcare, business, or related field preferred.
Previous experience in pharmacy claims processing, medical billing, or insurance verification is highly desirable.
Strong computer proficiency, including experience with claims processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and pharmacy/insurance industry standards is a plus.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in pharmacy claims, healthcare administration, or insurance processing preferred.
Experience working in a remote or virtual environment is an advantage.
Full-time position (typically 40 hours per week).
Flexible scheduling may be available depending on business needs, including evening or weekend shifts.
