As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing drywall sheets in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Measure and mark cutting lines on drywall sheets.

  • Cut and fit drywall sheets around mechanical systems and openings using hand and power tools.

  • Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.

  • Install ceiling and wall insulation where required.

  • Tape and finish joints, corners, and angles to prepare surfaces for painting.

  • Apply sealing compounds over seams and screw holes to create smooth surfaces.

  • Follow blueprints and building codes to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic precision.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, including electricians and plumbers, to ensure efficient workflow.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Trade certification in drywall installation (preferred, but not mandatory).

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment associated with drywall installation.

  • Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and heights.

  • Good eye for detail and quality workmanship.

  • Basic math and measuring skills.


Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a drywall installer or similar role in the construction sector.

  • International experience is acceptable.

  • Experience in Canada is considered an asset but not mandatory.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position: 40 hours per week, with potential for overtime.

  • Standard shifts: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM.

  • Flexibility required depending on project deadlines and site demands.
