Job Title: Biomedical Design Engineer – CAD and Product Prototyping

We are seeking a Biomedical Design Engineer with expertise in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and product prototyping to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing medical devices and biomedical products, from conceptualization through prototyping. Design, model, and prototype biomedical devices using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360)
Develop product concepts based on project specifications and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, clinical, manufacturing) to optimize product designs for functionality, safety, and manufacturability
Perform simulations and analyses to test design feasibility and ensure performance standards
Build, test, and iterate prototypes to refine designs and resolve technical issues
Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for design verification and validation
Ensure designs comply with medical device industry standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA, CE)
Participate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle
Conduct research on emerging technologies and materials for biomedical applications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Fusion 360)
Hands-on experience in product prototyping, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and other rapid prototyping techniques
Familiarity with biomedical materials, biomaterials, and manufacturing processes
Knowledge of medical device regulations and quality standards (FDA, ISO 13485, CE)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
