Progressive Technology is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller/Quality Auditor - Radiology Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of radiology billing practices, coding accuracy, and regulatory compliance. This dual-role position involves both medical billing and auditing responsibilities, ensuring precise and compliant processing of radiology claims. You will play a critical role in supporting our mission to deliver high-quality healthcare revenue cycle management services.
Accurately review and process radiology billing claims in accordance with payer guidelines and regulations.
Audit radiology reports, claims, and supporting documentation to ensure coding and billing accuracy.
Verify and analyze CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes to ensure proper reimbursement and reduce denials.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and support correct billing.
Identify and report patterns or trends that may indicate revenue leakage or compliance issues.
Educate and guide internal billing teams on radiology coding updates and documentation requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and payer-specific billing regulations.
Generate audit reports and provide recommendations for performance improvement and training.
Certification in medical billing/coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
Deep understanding of radiology terminology, procedures, and documentation.
Strong knowledge of coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and billing software.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience, with at least 2 years specifically in radiology.
Previous experience in a quality auditing or compliance role is highly desirable.
Experience working with multiple payers, including Medicare and Medicaid, is a plus.
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible hours available upon discussion)
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Remote work option available after successful onboarding

Ability to work cross-functionally with billing, coding, and clinical teams
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
