HR Service Jobs is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Carpentry Apprentice to join our dynamic team as part of our Joinery and Construction Skill Development Program. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in a range of carpentry tasks, from structural framework to detailed joinery work, all under the guidance of seasoned professionals. Ideal for those looking to build a career in construction, this role combines practical site work with off-site training and mentorship, providing a solid foundation in carpentry and construction principles.
Assist in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials.
Work alongside experienced carpenters to learn the trade through real-world applications.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to complete tasks accurately.
Participate in regular training sessions and skills development workshops.
Follow all health and safety regulations on-site and in the workshop.
Maintain tools and workspaces in a clean, organized condition.
Collaborate with team members and contribute to project completion within deadlines.
High school diploma or equivalent (GCSEs or equivalent qualifications preferred).
A strong interest in construction, woodworking, and hands-on work.
Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
A commitment to learning and growing in a skilled trade.
No prior experience in carpentry required—training will be provided.
Any background in manual labor, construction, or workshop environments is advantageous.
Full-time apprenticeship (typically 37–40 hours per week).
Working hours may vary depending on project schedules and weather conditions.
Some weekend or overtime work may be required based on site demands.
Awareness of construction site safety and basic risk management.
Willingness to adapt to new tools, methods, and working conditions.
Effective communication skills to interact with supervisors and team members.
Self-motivation with a positive, can-do attitude.
Reliability and punctuality in attendance and task completion.
