Job Summary

MNC JOBS INFO is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EVS (Environmental Services) Technician to join our OMCBR Evening team in Baton Rouge, LA. As an EVS Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This is a key support position that directly impacts patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of assigned areas, including patient rooms, clinical spaces, restrooms, hallways, and public areas.

• Follow established protocols for infection control, handling of hazardous materials, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet extractors safely and effectively.

• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.

• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and urgent spills or accidents.

• Ensure waste is collected and disposed of according to facility and environmental standards.

• Collaborate with hospital staff and supervisors to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.

• Adhere to all safety and security policies to create a safe working environment.

• Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitization practices.

• Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Dependable and punctual.

Experience

• Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or janitorial work is preferred but not required.

• Healthcare facility cleaning experience is a strong plus.

Working Hours

• Evening shift: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling procedures.

• Knowledge of infection prevention and control (IPAC) best practices.

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with hospital staff and supervisors.

• Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.

• Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations professionally.
