Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a meticulous and technically proficient Software Tester to join our innovative development team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through comprehensive testing procedures. You will work alongside developers, product managers, and other QA professionals to identify bugs, improve software usability, and uphold Amazons industry-leading standards in customer experience and software reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute detailed test plans, scenarios, and scripts based on product requirements.

• Perform manual and automated testing of web applications, APIs, and mobile platforms.

• Collaborate closely with software developers to identify and troubleshoot defects.

• Report, track, and manage bugs using standardized tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

• Conduct regression testing and performance testing on software updates.

• Ensure software compliance with established company standards and best practices.

• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospective meetings as part of the Agile development process.

• Continuously explore ways to optimize and enhance test processes and frameworks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

• Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

• Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Java, Python, or JavaScript).

• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a QA/Software Testing role.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments preferred.

• Hands-on experience with test automation and bug tracking tools.

Working Hours

• Flexible working hours with core availability between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (local time).

• Occasional extended hours may be required based on testing cycles and product launches.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS is a plus.

• Ability to quickly grasp complex systems and business workflows.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with industry trends.
