Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking knowledgeable and passionate Freelance Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide high-quality online tutoring services to students based in Bangalore. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one and small group online tutoring sessions tailored to the curriculum and individual student needs.

• Explain complex concepts clearly and effectively, adapting teaching methods to different learning styles.

• Design and deliver engaging lesson plans, exercises, and assessments that reinforce subject knowledge.

• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and their parents/guardians.

• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, and performance metrics.

• Stay updated on the latest educational trends, curriculum changes, and best practices in online tutoring.

• Collaborate with Houston Skilled Consultancy team members to continuously improve tutoring strategies and materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in the relevant subject area or a closely related field.

• Proven expertise in the subject(s) being tutored (e.g., Mathematics, Science, English, Computer Science, etc.).

• Strong command of online teaching tools and virtual classroom platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to explain difficult concepts in a clear, patient, and supportive manner.

• Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working independently as a freelancer.

• Basic technical skills to troubleshoot common connectivity or software issues during online sessions.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in tutoring, teaching, or a subject matter expert role preferred.

• Prior experience with online tutoring platforms or remote education is a strong advantage.

• Experience working with school-level or college-level students from Bangalore or similar educational contexts will be an asset.
