Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking passionate and dedicated Online Tutors for students in Classes 1 to 10, covering CBSE and ICSE curricula. As an Online Tutor, you will deliver engaging, personalized lessons that help students achieve academic excellence from the comfort of their homes. This role is ideal for educators who are enthusiastic about teaching and committed to making learning interactive, enjoyable, and effective.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct live online classes for students from Classes 1 to 10 following the CBSE/ICSE syllabus.

• Customize teaching strategies based on individual learning styles and academic levels.

• Create and share assignments, worksheets, quizzes, and assessments.

• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.

• Address academic difficulties and provide remediation when required.

• Use digital tools, whiteboards, and online platforms to deliver interactive lessons.

• Maintain a disciplined, inclusive, and encouraging virtual classroom environment.

• Attend regular training sessions and contribute to the development of curriculum content.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree (B.Ed preferred) in Education, English, Science, Mathematics, or related fields.

• Strong command over subjects aligned with CBSE and/or ICSE curriculum (English, Maths, Science, SST, Hindi, etc.).

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

• Basic computer skills with the ability to use online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams, etc.).

• A passion for teaching with the ability to motivate and engage students virtually.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience (online or offline) is preferred.

• Freshers with strong academic backgrounds and a flair for teaching are also encouraged to apply.

Working Hours

• Flexible part-time or full-time shifts available.

• Mostly evening and weekend slots based on student availability.

• Minimum commitment of 2–3 hours per day preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• In-depth knowledge of CBSE/ICSE syllabus from Class 1 to 10.

• Ability to simplify complex concepts for young learners.

• Patience, empathy, and adaptability to different student learning styles.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently and responsibly in a remote setup.
