Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is seeking a proactive, communicative, and detail-oriented Online Community Moderator to manage and grow our Facebook Groups. You will be the voice and guardian of our digital communities, ensuring a welcoming, informative, and respectful space for members. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about community engagement, has excellent communication skills, and understands social media dynamics—particularly Facebook group culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily activities across assigned Facebook Groups to maintain a safe and respectful environment.

  • Approve or decline posts and member requests in line with community guidelines.

  • Respond to member comments, questions, and concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Identify and address rule violations, spam, or inappropriate content swiftly and tactfully.

  • Foster member engagement by initiating discussions, polls, and themed posts.

  • Collaborate with the marketing/content team to align group activity with broader brand goals.

  • Provide weekly community health and growth reports to the management team.

  • Implement feedback and community suggestions to enhance group experience.

  • Stay informed about Facebook algorithm changes, tools, and moderation best practices.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing or moderating Facebook Groups or other online communities.

  • Strong written communication and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Tech-savvy and familiar with Facebooks group management tools and settings.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to engage with diverse audiences respectfully.

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.


Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in online moderation, community management, or social media support roles.

  • Prior experience moderating groups with 5,000+ members is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with Facebook group insights, analytics, and third-party moderation tools is a bonus.


Working Hours

  • Flexible working hours with a minimum availability of 4 hours per day.

  • Some weekend or evening availability may be required to support community needs in different time zones.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of social media trends and online group dynamics.

  • Knowledge of online safety, digital etiquette, and community-building strategies.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive situations.
