Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented, and technically skilled Virtual Podcast Editor to join our growing remote team. As a Podcast Editor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the audio quality, structure, and flow of podcast episodes for clients across industries. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong ear for storytelling, a deep understanding of audio editing software, and a passion for producing engaging content that resonates with digital audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw podcast recordings into polished episodes, including removing background noise, fillers, pauses, and technical errors.

• Add intros, outros, music beds, sound effects, and sponsor messages as per brand guidelines.

• Optimize audio for clarity, balance, and consistency using tools such as EQ, compression, and noise reduction.

• Ensure timely delivery of edited files within agreed turnaround times.

• Collaborate with hosts, producers, and marketing teams to maintain the podcasts tone and structure.

• Export final files in required formats for distribution platforms (e.g., MP3, WAV).

• Occasionally repurpose content into short audio clips or promotional snippets for social media.

• Maintain an organized archive of project files and backups.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in audio editing software such as Adobe Audition, Audacity, GarageBand, Reaper, or similar.

• Basic understanding of podcast production workflows and best practices.

• Strong grasp of audio mixing, leveling, and mastering techniques.

• Excellent time management and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Attention to detail and ability to follow style guides and episode formats.

• Good communication skills to interpret feedback and implement revisions quickly.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in podcast editing or audio production.

• Prior experience editing interview-based, narrative, or solo podcasts is highly preferred.

• A portfolio of edited podcast episodes or audio samples is required.

Working Hours

• Flexible schedule with the option to choose your working hours.
