Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Tutors for Maths and Science to support students from school to pre-university levels. This role is perfect for aspiring educators, subject matter experts, or professionals looking to contribute to academic excellence in a flexible, remote setting. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Maths and/or Science subjects, either one-on-one or in small group sessions, using a student-centric and interactive teaching approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver clear, engaging, and well-structured lessons in Maths and/or Science based on the curriculum and student level.

• Customize teaching materials and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and student needs.

• Prepare and assess student assignments, quizzes, and learning outcomes.

• Track student progress, provide feedback, and recommend improvements for better performance.

• Maintain open and timely communication with students and/or parents.

• Stay updated with current academic practices and trends in Maths and Science education.

• Use online teaching tools effectively to conduct virtual classes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Education, or related fields.

• Strong command of subject content with the ability to simplify complex concepts.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to engage with students of varying academic levels and age groups.

• Familiarity with digital learning platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

• Patience, empathy, and a passion for education.

Experience

• Prior tutoring or teaching experience is preferred but freshers with strong academic records are welcome.

• Experience with online or remote teaching is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Part-time, flexible hours based on your availability and student schedules.

• Typically 10–20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

• Deep understanding of school-level Maths and/or Science curricula.

• Ability to create interactive and personalized learning experiences.

• Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to assist students effectively.

• Self-discipline and time management to handle remote work.
