Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using Python and related frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI).

• Design and implement RESTful APIs for integration with frontend and third-party services.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product managers to create seamless, secure, and user-friendly solutions.

• Write clean, testable, and efficient code following best software development practices.

• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting backend issues.

• Ensure code quality and perform unit/integration testing to maintain stability.

• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends in backend development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python programming language.

• Solid experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Deep understanding of RESTful API design and development.

• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).

• Knowledge of version control tools like Git.

• Understanding of containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (preferred).

• Ability to write clean, modular, and reusable code.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Experience

• 2+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer with a focus on Python.

• Experience working in remote or distributed teams is an added advantage.

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred.

Working Hours

• Flexible Remote Work Environment

• Expected availability during core collaboration hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST

• Monday to Friday (5 days a week)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

• Ability to quickly learn new tools, frameworks, and systems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.

• Comfortable working independently and proactively contributing ideas to improve product performance and usability.
