Job Summary

MNC Jobs Info is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Microservices Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, distributed systems. This remote position requires a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, container orchestration, and API-driven architectures. As a core part of our technology leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping our next-generation microservices-based platforms that drive innovation and performance across global projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and performant microservices-based systems.

• Define architectural patterns and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Collaborate with DevOps, developers, and product managers to align system architecture with business goals.

• Perform technical evaluations of new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to ensure architectural consistency.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to development teams on microservices design, implementation, and deployment.

• Lead architectural reviews and contribute to long-term strategic technology planning.

• Identify bottlenecks and provide solutions for system improvement and optimization.

• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures at an enterprise scale.

• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages: Java, Go, Python, or Node.js.

• Hands-on experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of API Gateway tools, service meshes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• In-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven systems.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Experience

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in backend development, with 4+ years specifically in architecting and deploying microservices.

• Prior experience leading distributed teams or large-scale architecture projects is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Flexible work schedule with core overlapping hours between 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST to facilitate collaboration.

• Full-time commitment (40 hours/week) with occasional evening meetings across time zones.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while driving alignment across teams.

• Deep understanding of system design, load balancing, caching strategies, and data consistency models.
