Job Summary

MNC Jobs Info is seeking a talented and self-driven Android Developer to join our growing remote technology team. You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of Android apps, from design and development to testing and deployment. Key Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

• Work closely with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs.

• Diagnose performance issues, fix bugs, and improve application performance.

• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.

• Solid understanding of Android SDK, various versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.

• Experience with MVVM/MVP architecture and Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Room, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with third-party libraries and APIs (Retrofit, Glide, Firebase, etc.).

• Familiarity with Googles Material Design guidelines.

• Good knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON to connect Android applications to back-end services.

• Proficient understanding of Git version control system.

• Knowledge of mobile security best practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in Android app development.

• Experience with publishing apps on the Google Play Store is a plus.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments is preferred.

Working Hours

• Full-Time – 40 hours/week

• Flexible Remote Hours with daily check-ins and regular team sync-ups

• Must be available during core working hours (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST)
