Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Blockchain Smart Contract Auditor to join our growing remote technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating smart contracts deployed on blockchain networks to ensure security, functionality, and compliance with industry best practices. You will play a critical role in preventing security breaches and ensuring trust in decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain protocols across various industries.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth manual and automated audits of Ethereum, Solana, and other blockchain-based smart contracts.

  • Identify vulnerabilities, logic flaws, and inefficiencies in smart contract code.

  • Provide detailed reports outlining security issues, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations.

  • Collaborate with developers and blockchain architects to improve the design and security of smart contracts.

  • Stay updated with the latest security trends, exploits, and tooling within the Web3 ecosystem.

  • Conduct formal verification and fuzz testing for critical smart contracts when necessary.

  • Contribute to the development of internal best practices and auditing methodologies.

  • Educate team members on secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Solidity and experience auditing Ethereum smart contracts.

  • Familiarity with smart contract standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, etc.).

  • Experience using security audit tools such as Slither, MythX, Echidna, and Hardhat.

  • In-depth knowledge of blockchain protocols, DeFi applications, and consensus mechanisms.

  • Excellent understanding of secure software development principles.

  • Ability to write clear, comprehensive audit reports and communicate technical issues effectively.

  • Proficient in Git and collaborative development environments.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field (or equivalent work experience).


Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, with at least 1-2 years focused on blockchain security or smart contract auditing.

  • Hands-on experience in deploying and interacting with smart contracts in real-world projects.

  • Experience working in DeFi, NFT, or Web3 platforms is highly desirable.


Working Hours

  • Flexible remote work hours with availability for periodic team meetings in international time zones.

  • Full-time (40 hours/week) commitment is expected.
